After a week of not leaving my house, and making poor attempts at memorizing hundreds of pages of text...I have developed a super compulsive need to waste my time doing other things!!
I think my pulse is currently over 110 at rest...i can also FEEL the high levels of cortisol circulating in my blood. I just found out a fact that irritated me....acute stressors have a positive affect on men, and a negative affect on women! What the hell eh. What the hell.
ALthough, i personally think exams are chronic stressors. Cuz they never freaking END!!
And i even emailed one of my profs in fit of anxiety, and warned her in advance i was gonna fail her exam......we'll see how THAT goes...
Although, i'm almost done! Allllmost!
My roomate just made a ton of brownies, and i snuck out there and gorged myself on them...not good. TOO MUCH SUGARRR.
Hmm maybe this isn't a rant, more like mad rambles.
Indulge me my friends...I will return to my cool collected self after thursday. Hopefully. Ideally.

If you know WHY those facts are true, then if you don't remember them outright you can usually figure the answer out. Science is about having a fundamental understanding of the universe, not knowing every little fact and trivia about it.
I'd be careful thinking about eating any brownies made by someone in college, or even under the age of 35. They tend to make "special" brownies.

Only my exams have been geared towards remote, obscure facts, not overall understanding and integration of knowledge.
sample question: 'What year was so-and-so's study conducted?' or 'What wasn't mentioned in the text about the medialpreoptic area?' Like LAME questions, that just end up leaving me defeated because you either know it or you don't, and there's no way of using understanding to help you.
And they were NORMAL brownies

I thought you said they were NORML brownies for a second. hahaha
It's tough to not stress about things when you do care. I found out recently my anti-stress method in high school and college was flat out not caring. Doesn't work so hot now, need to find a new one.

Yeah, my way of coping so far has been denial and shrugging off how important things are. But now that graduation is in sight, i can't just shrug it off, i am seriously panicking. And the circumstances that have happened this past week (ie. my friend's breakdown) have completely shot my concentration. Some things you can't just ignore and keep going.
On the plus side, i somehow managed to wing 96% on my last midterm, so that's easing my stress a little, but not by much
